Certified Power is a distributor, designer, and assembler of hydraulic, pneumatic
and electronic components and controls for both industrial and mobile applications
and is a manufacturer of OEM driveshaft and precision power train components. Headquartered
in the Chicago area with locations throughout the Midwest, the Certified Power Companies
have decades of fluid power, controls and manufacturing experience to serve the
needs of customers.
Certified Power was founded in the 1970’s and was acquired by Rice, Sangalis, Toole and Wilson in 1995. In March 2007, a group of senior managers partnered with
Northstar Capital to acquire the company. Over the years,
Certified Power has made acquisitions and divestitures to better provide high
quality products and value added services to its customers. Today the Company manages
its operations through three operating divisions: Mobile Systems, Fluid System Components,
and Driveline.
The Mobile Systems operations are located in Minnesota, Iowa, Ohio, Missouri and
Illinois and operate under a number of well-known brand names (Component Technology,
Certified Powertrain Specialists and Master Mechanic) as well as the Certified Power
name. The Mobile Systems operations support a wide variety of OEM manufacturers
and Truck Equipment Dealers by providing fluid power assemblies, components, power
units and complete systems. The OEM customer base manufactures construction, agriculture,
and other specialty equipment. Component Technology commands a great deal of the
mobile Snow and Ice market with the StormGuard product line as well as the new line
of Freedom electronic controls. Additionally, the Mobile Systems group possesses
substantial service and repair capabilities and application engineering expertise
to better serve the customer. With five locations throughout the Midwest, we are
able to provide both depth and breadth of products wherever a customer is located. |

Fluid System Components is a premier fluid power operation with locations in the
Milwaukee and Green Bay areas. FSC serves Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan
by manufacturing and distributing hydraulic, pneumatic and electric panels, manifold
assemblies and custom hydraulic power units and systems for wide-ranging industrial
and mobile markets. The markets FSC serves range from logging and forestry, construction,
paper mills, to firefighting equipment. FSC differentiates itself from the competition
by providing highly technical expertise, state-of-the-art test equipment, a broad
range of product lines, and strong service and repair capabilities.
The Driveline operation, based in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, is the consolidation of two
highly respected businesses – North American Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc.
and Pump Drives, Inc. The operation designs, markets, manufactures, services and
distributes torque transfer systems, modules and components. With its engineering
expertise, ISO 9001:2000 Certified System of Quality, testing capabilities and state-of-the-art
machining operations, the Driveline operation can manufacture and service a wide
range of components and assemblies. Our Driveline operation provides products to
a broad range of customers from major OEM’s to smaller niche service providers. |
